Techniques

My Approach

I utilize a strength-based approach which means believing people are inherently resourceful and resilient. For many, it can take assistance from a therapist to better understand and utilize these inner resources. I also draw from cognitive-behavioral theories. These are evidence-based methods that put an emphasis on the relationship between one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As a therapist trained in EMDR, we can work to identify and reprocess roadblocks (i.e. recurring themes) keeping you from healing from past events and traumas.

Depending on your goals and preferences, I can implement mindfulness-based interventions, relaxation techniques, as well as creative expression techniques to enhance coping skills during and outside of our online therapy sessions.

Intake Session

During our first 1:1 session, I’ll get to know more about you, your background and discuss your goals for therapy.

1:1 Session

Subsequent 1:1 sessions run between 50-55 minutes. We’ll discuss your plan for treatment, continue our work on healthy coping skills, and managing your emotions so you can feel better.

90 Minute EMDR Session

For those that want to make progress quicker, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) sessions are the way to go.

Group Therapy Sessions

Prefer a group approach with people working through the same difficulties? I offer specialized group therapy in a series of 6 weekly sessions starting at different points of the year.

Payment Information

I accept self-pay and most BCBS plans.

I accept credit, debit, health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) payments. I’ll ask to have a card on file to make ongoing payments easier and payments will be due at time of service.
